Love from home

In Uganda, we eat three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner/supper. Lunch and dinner always consist of  various types of warm foods, and is always really good! The breakfast however: Eee... Dry pieces of light bread with bananas on (if we have it) is the normal breakfast. So, we became very hopeful when he heard that a Ugandan aquaintance of Michael, that lives in Lira, was actually in Bergen this week, and that he could bring some stuff to Uganda for us if we needed it!

So we put all hands (Håkon and me) on deck, and a few e-mails, a few phone calls and a few local heroes later, we are now in possession of five boxes of liverpaste (sounds nasty in english), four tubes of liquid (?) cheese, three brown cheeses, five big plates of milk chocolate w/daim and a pack of Safari-crackers (compliments of my mama). To put it this way, today's breakfast was devoured by two happy mzungus ;)

(for pictures: see the previous blog post)

The prize for "hero of the week" is therefore split between Ugandan Sam, Astrid Instanes (my mom) and Silje Nordal, who all have played vital parts in mission:breakfast. Their award is that they got mentioned in my blog ;D
